Eagle Valley Golf Course is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in Carson City, Nevada, just minutes from scenic Lake Tahoe, Virginia City, and Reno. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. The two courses are The East Course and The West Course.
The East Course at Eagle Valley first opened for play in 1976. The course was designed by Jack Snyder.
The East Course is the less difficult of the two Eagle Valley Golf Courses.
The East is a reasonably flat, wide-open layout, offering a fun & challenging test for the beginning and intermediate golfer. It's a great course for walking, however, minimal cart paths mean carts are allowed just about everywhere, so this is also the course to play if you can't, or don't want to, do much walking. It has some long holes out there that the "grip it & rip it" golfers can really sink their teeth into, but relatively few places you'll actually lose a ball. If your group contains golfers of varying experience or those that just can't handle the rigors of the West, the East is the one you want.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,618 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,348 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 5, a par-5 that plays to 523 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 163 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 406-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole on The East Course is # 17, the 163 yard par-3.
